Programme rules, fees and eligibility are set by the Investment Migration Agency (IMA) Grenada and are subject to change.

Program Overview

Grenada Citizenship by Investment Program Overview

Citizenship by Investment (CBI) allows a qualifying applicant to acquire citizenship of Grenada through an approved economic contribution. Unlike a residency programme — which grants the right to live in a country — CBI leads to full citizenship and a passport.

The Grenada programme was established in 2013 under the Citizenship by Investment Act No. 15 of 2013 and is administered by the Investment Migration Agency (IMA) Grenada, the government body responsible for reviewing and deciding applications.

Applications cannot be filed directly by an individual. They are submitted only through an authorised agent — the role Caribbean Paradise performs on your behalf, preparing and presenting your case to the IMA.

Why Families Consider It

Benefits of the Grenada Citizenship by Investment Program

Global mobility

A second passport can broaden travel access and simplify international movement.

Family inclusion

Eligible family members can be included within a single application.

Citizenship for life

Once granted, citizenship is held for life, subject to programme rules.

Dual citizenship

Dual citizenship may be possible, depending on the laws of your current country.

No minimum stay for CBI

The CBI application itself carries no minimum-stay requirement, subject to current IMA notices.

U.S. E-2 treaty eligibility

Grenada is a U.S. E-2 treaty country — a separate visa application is required and is never guaranteed.

Any tax-related outcome depends on your personal circumstances. We do not provide tax advice — please consult an independent tax adviser for your situation. E-2 visa eligibility is decided by the U.S. authorities under separate rules.

A Distinctive Grenada Advantage

Grenada and the U.S. E-2 Treaty Investor Visa

Grenada is one of the few Caribbean citizenship programmes whose nationals may qualify for the U.S. E-2 Treaty Investor Visa. This is a separate route with its own rules — Grenadian citizenship alone does not grant it.

1

Programme established under the Citizenship by Investment Act No. 15 of 2013.

2

2024

Significant regulatory amendments to fees, thresholds and due-diligence requirements.

3

Ongoing

Subsequent official notices; we verify the current position for your case at assessment.

U.S. E-2 Treaty Investor Visa

Grenada is a U.S. E-2 treaty country. However, citizenship on its own does not guarantee the visa: the E-2 is a separate immigration application, assessed and decided by the U.S. authorities under their own criteria.

We present this as a possible route, never as an automatic entitlement, and we recommend independent U.S. immigration counsel.

Three-Year Domicile and Separate E-2 Eligibility

A three-year domicile condition may apply to citizenship obtained through investment before an E-2 application can be considered. This is distinct from — and should not be confused with — the CBI programme's own residence position.

Because these rules are update-sensitive, we confirm the current position for your profile rather than relying on older statements.

Legal disclaimer. E-2 visa eligibility, the three-year domicile condition and all U.S. immigration outcomes are governed by U.S. law and decided by U.S. authorities. Nothing here is legal or immigration advice; please consult an independent U.S. immigration adviser.

Status & Obligations

Dual Citizenship, Residency and Regulatory Updates

Dual citizenship

Grenada permits dual citizenship. Whether you may hold it also depends on the law of your current country of citizenship — some countries restrict or do not recognise dual nationality. Please confirm your own country's position before proceeding.

CBI residence & E-2 domicile

The CBI application itself carries no minimum-stay requirement, subject to the latest IMA notice. This is shown separately from the U.S. E-2 route's possible three-year domicile condition, so the two are not confused: "no minimum stay for the CBI application" does not remove any E-2 domicile requirement.

Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does Grenada citizenship cost?

The NTF route currently starts from USD 235,000 and approved real estate from USD 270,000 (shared) or USD 350,000 (sole ownership), before government, due-diligence and family fees. We confirm exact government costs and quote our advisory fee separately at assessment.

The main applicant must be at least 18, in good health, able to make a qualifying investment, and able to satisfy due-diligence, source-of-funds and good-character checks. Restricted-nationality status is verified for your case.

Processing time varies by case and by the IMA’s current workload. We provide a realistic indicative range for your profile at assessment, presented as guidance rather than a fixed or guaranteed date.

Eligible family members — a spouse, dependent children, dependent parents and grandparents, and unmarried childless siblings — can be included, each subject to their own age and dependency conditions, which we confirm for your specific family.

Grenada permits dual citizenship. Whether you may hold it also depends on the laws of your current country of citizenship, so we recommend confirming your own country’s position.

The CBI application itself carries no minimum-stay requirement, subject to the current IMA notice. This is separate from any possible three-year domicile condition relevant only to the U.S. E-2 route.

A mandatory interview, identity verification and due diligence apply to qualifying applicants, including those aged 17 and over per the official schedule. We prepare you for what to expect as part of your case.

The decision rests with the IMA. Our due-diligence review before submission is designed to identify issues early, and we discuss your specific risk profile openly before you commit — without guaranteeing any outcome.

Grenada is a U.S. E-2 treaty country, but citizenship alone does not grant the visa. The E-2 is a separate application decided by the U.S. authorities, and we recommend independent U.S. immigration counsel.

A three-year domicile condition may apply to citizenship obtained through investment before an E-2 application can be considered. It is distinct from the CBI programme’s own residence position, and we confirm the current rules for your profile.

No. The National Transformation Fund contribution is a one-time, non-refundable payment to the government, with no holding period and no asset to manage.

Approved real estate — whether shared investment or sole ownership — carries a minimum holding period, after which resale is permitted subject to the conditions in force at the time. We explain the applicable rules for your chosen route.
