Program Overview

Saint Lucia Citizenship by Investment Program Overview

Citizenship by Investment (CBI) allows a qualifying applicant to acquire citizenship of Saint Lucia through an approved economic contribution. Unlike a residency programme — which grants the right to live in a country — CBI leads to full citizenship and a passport.

The Saint Lucia programme was established in 2015 under the Citizenship by Investment Act No. 14 of 2015, and is administered by the country's Citizenship by Investment Unit (CIU), the government body responsible for reviewing and deciding applications.

Applications cannot be filed directly by an individual. They are submitted only through an authorised agent — the role Caribbean Paradise performs on your behalf, preparing and presenting your case to the CIU.

Status & Obligations

Dual Citizenship, Residency and Regulatory Updates

Dual citizenship

Saint Lucia permits dual citizenship. Whether you may hold it also depends on the law of your current country of citizenship — some countries restrict or do not recognise dual nationality. Please confirm your own country's position before proceeding.

Residence & regulatory updates

Residence, physical-presence and any new regional or regulatory obligations are update-sensitive and can change through government notices. We check the current position for your case rather than repeating older statements, and we publish no absolute "no residency requirement" claim without verifying the latest Government Notice and your country's law.

Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does Saint Lucia citizenship cost?

Cost depends on your chosen route, your family size and the current government schedule. We confirm exact government costs and quote our advisory fee separately at assessment, and we do not publish figures that could quickly become out of date.

The main applicant must be 18 or over, able to make a qualifying investment, and able to pass due diligence with a lawful, verifiable source of funds and good character. We confirm the current requirements for your nationality and family profile at assessment.

Processing time varies by case and by the CIU’s current workload. We provide a realistic indicative range for your profile at assessment, presented as guidance rather than a fixed or guaranteed date.

Eligible family members — including a spouse, dependent children, dependent parents and, where the rules allow, dependent siblings — can be included, each subject to their own age and dependency conditions, which we confirm for your specific family.

Saint Lucia permits dual citizenship. Whether you may hold it also depends on the laws of your current country of citizenship, so we recommend confirming your own country’s position.

Residence and physical-presence expectations are update-sensitive and can change through government notices. We verify the current position for your case rather than repeating older claims.

Applicant interview and identity verification apply to the main applicant, and due diligence applies to dependants aged 16 and over. We prepare you for what to expect as part of your case.

The decision rests with the CIU. Our due-diligence review before submission is designed to identify issues early, and we discuss your specific risk profile openly before you commit — without guaranteeing any outcome.

Since its establishment in 2015, the programme has been refined through amendments to the Act and its regulations, with adjustments to minimum amounts and to the available routes. We work from the current official position.

Real estate, infrastructure and enterprise routes depend on there being a currently active government-approved project. Where a route has no active project, it is not presented as selectable, and we confirm the current status at assessment.
